Obagi® is a brand of skin care products designed to develop and maintain healthy skin through an advanced line of cleansers, toners, eye creams, sunscreens, serums and other beneficial products. There are many different Obagi systems available, each designed for different skin types. Dr. Bonillas will help you decide which system will best help you achieve your desired results.
Laser Hair Removal
Laser hair removal is a cosmetic procedure used to remove unwanted body hair with intense pulsed laser energy. This minimally invasive procedure removes hair through a series of treatments while leaving the surrounding skin and tissue unharmed. Through this safe, painless and convenient procedure, patients can enjoy long-term hair removal from nearly any area of their body.
Laser hair removal is most commonly performed on the face, upper lip, neck, chest, underarms, back, abdomen, bikini line and legs, although it can be performed on virtually any area with excess hair growth.
CUTERA 3D Skin Rejuvenation™
A program in laser skin rejuvenation therapy offered exclusively by Cutera, 3D Skin Rejuvenation consists of several different laser treatments focused on targeting different layers of the patient's skin. The use of multiple wavelengths and intensities of light allow each treatment to progress the renewal of the skin in distinct ways.
3D Skin Rejuvenation is the most complete answer to non-invasive skin renewal available today. Results can be seen immediately, but are usually observed over time as all treatments are completed and improvements continue long after treatment has ended.
Chemical Peels
Chemical peels remove damaged outer layers of skin on the face to smooth texture, reduce scarring, and remove blemishes to produce healthy, glowing skin. There are three types of chemical peels, ranging from mild to strong - alphahydroxy acids (AHAs), trichloroacetic acid (TCA) and phenol - and formula strengths are tailored to each patient. Peels can be combined with other procedures such as facelifts for a younger look. They may be covered by insurance if they are performed for medical rather than cosmetic reasons.
Obagi Blue PeelThe Obagi Blue Peel is a mild chemical peel used in combination with the Obagi Nu-Derm Restoration System for clear, smooth, healthy skin. The damaged surface layer of skin is removed, and soon the body replenishes it with a fresh layer that is smoother, well-toned and more even in color, and has smaller pores. The Blue Peel offers benefits over other peel methods because it allows the physician to control many aspects of the process, including the depth of penetration, so treatments can be tailored to the individual patient. On average two to three peels are required to achieve full skin health.
Laser Skin Tightening with Titan®
The Titan® is a safe, nonsurgical procedure that uses an infrared light source to tighten skin and reverse the signs of aging. The procedure tones, lifts and tightens skin on the face and neck and can be used to treat lax, loose or wrinkled skin throughout the body-including the abdomen, thighs and arms.
Most people will begin to see tightening in the treated area about three weeks following treatment, and improvements often continue as new collagen forms and the skin tightens. The result is long-lasting, tighter skin.
Laser Skin Resurfacing with Pearl™
Laser skin resurfacing with Pearl™ is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure used to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines and other skin irregularities. It offers patients effective results comparable to chemical peels and microdermabrasion, while eliminating side effects such as discomfort, bleeding and bruising. The results of laser skin resurfacing with Pearl will continue to improve over several months and help the skin appear young and smooth.
Laser Vein Therapy
While spider and varicose veins have been successfully treated for years through stripping, ligation and sclerotherapy, these procedures often cause pain and other unwanted symptoms during and after treatment. Laser procedures offer patients more precise results through a minimally invasive procedure, which heats the vein and causes it to close, rather than removing it surgically. Laser vein treatment offers patients fewer side effects, less trauma and shorter recovery times.
Laser vein treatment is extremely successful in closing affected veins and improving the appearance of the legs through a less invasive procedure. Most results from this procedure are permanent.
Laser Limelight™ Facial
The LimeLight Facial™ procedure from Cutera® helps to improve skin tone, texture and overall appearance. Certain red and brown spots caused by aging and prolonged exposure to sunlight are removed quite effectively with the LimeLight™ laser. The precise heating of the superficial layers of the skin and pulsing of the light are the keys to reducing the visibility of various pigmented lesions.
Visia® Complexion Analysis
Remarkable new technology allows patients and their physicians to see even the smallest amounts of skin damage and determine the need for facial rejuvenation procedures. Complexion analysis with VISIA software displays the patient's face on a computer screen in normal and ultraviolet light modes, showing surface and subsurface skin imperfections that might not be visible to the naked eye. The software analyzes wrinkles, evenness, pores and sun damage; creates graphs that indicate areas for improvement; and features an on-screen zoom tool.
Latisse™
Full, natural-looking eyelashes can now be achieved through a prescription treatment called Latisse™. Latisse is the first and only eyelash treatment approved by the FDA to help grow longer, fuller and darker eyelashes and treat hypotrichosis, a condition that includes having inadequate or not enough eyelashes.
Latisse contains bimatoprost, an active ingredient that improves the appearance of your lashes and is often found in glaucoma medication. This prescription medications is applied topically to the base of the eyelashes once a day, with results visible after four weeks and full results appearing after 16 weeks.
